Nice directory site that offers links to Spanish-only resources on Hispanic culture, history, health, reference, and more. There’s also a Bilingual Tutorials section and links to Spanish-language media, from newspapers to radio and television stations.

ART Serve

Creator is prof. of Art History at the Australian National University. Has assembled this enormous collection of several thousand art and architecture images for use in the classroom. The site is the place to visit for images, not only for art classes, but also for history and social studies, or any time you need to illustrate architectural principles.

HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS

The site created by John Menszer, contains the personal stories of six different Holocaust survivors. The text of each story is complemented by original photographs and documents, and by audio files of each survivor’s personal recollections.

MADSCI NETWORK

MAKING OF AMERICA

Represent a massive undertaking by the University of Michigan and Cornell University to put primary source documents, from the antebellum period through Reconstruction, on the Web. Currently, there are well over 3,000,000 pages at the Web site from 50,000 journal articles and 8,500 books in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology.

WACKY WORLD OF WORDS

Just simply wonderful. Included are a list of words within words, rhyming words, anagrams, oxymoron, and similes. There is even something for the math teachers, too. Check out math-related activities such as Numbletter puzzles and Fractured Fractions, a great interdisciplinary activity in students add fractions of two words to create a third word.
